Yet another Michigander
« on: June 02, 2020, 06:38:13 AM »
Hi all. Enjoy smoking, grilling, the works. I just bought a Jumbo Joe for the camper. It adds to the 1998 Genesis 1000 Redhead I fully restored 5 years ago, the same year I reconditioned my 22" 'H'. I purchased the kettle new from a local hardware store in 1986. It gets regular use, and at 34 years old is part of the family. I just took the Genny apart for a cleaning and tune up after one of the burners finally gave up. A full pressure wash, a new set of SS flavorizer bars, and some replacement burners left over from the donor grill during the restoration and it's cooking like new.

Thanks guys.

Where about are you @rc, generally speaking? I'm a little South of Ann Arbor.

Welcome from just south of Chicago!
I swear, when I score a great deal on a 26" I'll stop buying grills... So often.

@LightningBoldtz Hello fellow Macomber. No, I don’t believe we’ve ever met. Are you the guy selling those vintage Weber’s on Craigs list? If so, do you still have that brownie for sale?
