Hi folks. New here, but a budding kettlehead. 14 inch Smokey Joe slowly getting modded, 18 inch Jumbo Joe with cast iron grates, and 23" SSP that i bought new 25 years ago. I've decided to learn efficiency by limiting the use if both my Joes to my fireplace. Almost dumped the SSP a month. Now I've seen the light, and I'm looking for a new gas to get the gas system going again.

Hey kneab,
Like a knucklehead, i let my SSP slide a little, then started to strip it thinking it was going out to metal recycling. Then i saw a few YouTubers talk about how much they prize their SSPs, and i spent half a day cleaning, shining and apologizing. [emoji16] Now i need the Hose and Regulator Assembly (62642) and repkace

I stupidly threw out the hose and regulator assy. Bought another from Weber. Will be good to get that working again...even if its unnecessary. My SSP is a classic!

Glad you were able to get the parts from Weber. I did not realize you could get the parts for the propane system still. Happy to hear you are saving it.

He definitely does! He bought a new kettle when he moved in last year. You ever been to Baileys Smokhouse in Blauvelt? I had a pretty good experience there a few years ago.

Havent, but Three Little Pigs in Thornwood know what they're doing. Metal trays, butcher paper, pickle slices, and buy your smoked meat by the pound. Eat it on picnic benches inside with a concrete floor. No frills.
