Hey everyone Colin Weber and I met on one of the many Facebook pages, well there seems to be a lot of drama so he pointed me in this direction.
I purchased a Genesis a long time ago and ended up selling to a buddy once I got back to San Diego, I’m active duty Navy EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) so we move every couple years. The movers ruined my Brinkmann smoker so I upgraded to a 22” WSM. That ended up being over kill for what I actually needed. Traded that for a 18” WSM (EE) and a performer. Met some cool guys on Facebook (Colin, Dave Wilson & Chris Wilson). Which kind lit the fire for me purchasing more. So now I have a fireplace, a Char Q and an 85 redhead that’s designated as my pizza oven.
For accessories I scored the full kettle pizza set up for 75 dollars off an older couple, that was moving that had gone vegan. I have a vortex for the performer and rib hanger for the WSM that I also use to cold smoke bacon that I cure myself.
I’ve bought a couple things that I’ve sold to help offset my cost. Really to complete my “collection” (which is nothing compared to some of y’all). I’d like to score my birth year (J), a 26er (I love hosting) and maybe a really nice MBH.
