capacity of 18

Am considering purchasing an 18 to go with my 22.  Can you effectively cook with a two zone fire on an 18, or would I really only be cooking direct?  For example, can I cook a 4-5 pound chicken indirect on an 18?

You can.... here’s a shot of mine with the SNS stainless charcoal basket.  Probably need to put foil under the indirect zone.

The 18 is a handy size to take places. It will fit standing up in the back of an suv. Needs tied down though.

Also I will spread the coal even and fill the cooking grate with wings. You have to flip and rotate but does a great job and can do 40 wings.

I just smoked a 6lb pork booty on my 18 and it came out perfect used the snake method.
