I am not positive on this but the grills with the double flavorizer bars, I think the valves are spaced differently and they have longer valve stems. Also the burner tubes are different lengths.

I think Kneab is correct.  I don't think one manifold will fit on the other and vice versa.

No, they are not interchangeable as has been mentioned above.
What specifically are you looking for/to achieve?

Hey guys thanks for your responses!

I picked up that genesis 2000 and I’m excited about rebuilding it. I had grabbed the genesis b for free but when the other popped up, well you guys know...

Anyway it looks like they rigged the hose up in some way that I don’t really trust (I’ll attach some pics) They used a hose clamp and maybe some glue in there, not really sure.

So I was thinking I could just swap out the manifolds, but I guess not.

Is it possible to switch out the treaded part (that the hose attaches to)? If so how do you get them out?

Also it looks like there is a plug in there for where a line would’ve run to a side burner. Is that okay?

Sorry for all the questions, this is my first genesis rebuild, so any help/advice is really appreciated.

Thanks again guys!

Oh and it also had a bunch of different regular hoses!?!

That plug is normal, it is for the side burner. I would not use the hose clamp setup. The fitting should unscrew. Are both of the manifolds you have for Lp? Do you have a good regulator to use?

I do think they are both LP
How can you tell if a regular is good or not?

Thanks

I think the only problems you would experience with a bad regulator would be too little heat(less than 550°) too much heat(way over 550°) or losing gas without using it. There is a vent hole on the regulator about the size of a pencil tip. Propane should not come from it.

Well I think I got it!
Replaced the old connection with the one off the silver, used yellow gas tape, checked for leaks, and it seems to be working fine!
Lots left to do, but I’m so glad to know it works
Tons of cleaning left and the wood is further gone than I’d like. I’ll probably just lightly sand and re-stain until I can get new wood.
It’ll also need the bottom drip pan, the larger black one. Anyone happen to have one laying around? Happy to trade for one 🤞[emoji3]
Thanks! Super excited about bringing this one back to life!
High and low temps in the pics for reference
