DD Green Kettle
« on: June 21, 2013, 11:44:30 AM »
I would like to give kudos to Dazzo for hooking me up with a green kettle  8)  When he posted it and he said he was going to sell it, i jumped on it!  We exchanged pm's and info along with price we made the deal :)  The kettle arrived today in great shape, granted i was a bit concerned after seeing the box as the driver dropped it off, but everything came thru great, seeing as it was packed very well, thanks dazzo! :)  So on to the main event, the pictures!

You might want to remove the address in the first picture, lol. Nice Kettle. How much was shipping if you don't mind me asking?

I tried to but photo bucket kept putting the unedited pic in even after saving and replacing the original with the edited pic >:(  Shipping i think was 35 dollars i think may have been a little more not sure.  Dazzo could shed some light on it.

Looks great!! It even came with a game of Scrabble, is that what you guys get up to on those long overnight cooks......
I think any timber handles will look great on that , I personally like the darker handles or something with some grain running through it
I noticed the triangle has a big loop on the front where it slots into the front leg. Is that the way the new triangles come now?
I'm only 2 or 3 kettles away from being that creepy guy down the street with all the Webers

Thanks for the pictures!

Boy, the box is scary looking. I tried to pack it good,  but I was still worried. I'm glad it made it safe. It looked good at my place, but man it looks great at yours!   8)

Packing hint - a Scrabble box works good for the ash can and ring. It's from the new game our granddaughter got.

The loop on the triangle surprised me too.

Had an original guess of ~$35 via USPS. Turns out we can do personal shipping from work, so we can use the corp discount. It was 42# box and shipped two day ground for a little less than $30. And only two days for UPS ground CA to AZ.

Grillfella network!

Dude, relax your chicken.

Good lookin' Green Gold and awesome networking among the WKC!  :D

For handle finish, maybe a blonde to medium finish, I agree that a lighter wood would look great on the greens.

ooooooooooooh a blonde handle, i like it!  Yes it does look brand new other than the handle is worn a little.
