Red performer 1st Gen for $65
« on: March 03, 2020, 03:42:57 PM »
This came up for sale around the Cleveland area. I am so tempted but I already have a 2nd gen performer and don't really have room for another one. I do like the red kettle and stainless table top. Can probably be had for $50 as it has been listed for over a week now. Should I go get it?

You'll learn............

when these babies come up (in THAT condition at THAT price), the question from experienced Weber-heads is never "should I get it", but instead "what should I cook first, NOW THAT I HAVE IT" :)

Yeah, you really should go get it. You said you, "...really don't have room for another one.", but I believe in you. In fact, it looks like there's quite a few of us who believe in you.

Show up at their door at Midnight if you have to.

I contacted seller and apparently there is a pick up pending. I told her to contact me if the deal fall through. I'll keep everyone posted. FYI I did pick up my 2nd gen for $40 last summer. The bowl was a little rusted through so I contacted Weber and they sent me a brand new replacement bowl! What a fantastic company.

I just saw a red 1997 First Gen in the Mound, MN area Facebook Marketplace for $300 and he said the price was firm. I have a 2002 First Gen Performer in blue.  It is the best grill I have ever owned.  Would not part with it for love nor money. Hope you scored that $50 special.
I figure the 15 lb propane tank is worth that.

Have Fun;
