Grilling class
« on: February 09, 2020, 05:59:25 AM »
Helped out at How to Bbq Right and Swinelife’s grilling class yesterday at Memphis Bbq Supply . 41 people attended the class. We served them vortex wings off my  26 and Malcom’s 22 , parmesan crusted wings off 2 Grilla Pellet grills , and ribeyes and tri tips from a PK and Napoleon charcoal grill. In the end we cooked 224 wings , 14 ribeyes , 6 tri tips , and a bunch of sides. Had a blast and very surreal. When I started out  grilling and watching Malcom’s videos , I could’ve never imagined becoming friends with him and helping with his classes.

It was $150 person. That included the recipe cards for each meal , step by step process of cooking each protein and sides  with Q&A , live cooking demo , goodie bags of smoking wood and other Bbq stuff , food samples of everything cooked , meet and greet with Malcom and Mark , and also we did a SCA comp steak. Everybody left full and very happy.

It really was but also nerve racking. I was in charge of getting everything grilled for the samples while they taught the class . Luckily it went smoothly and I didn’t mess anything up and kept the cook time schedule lol.

That's gotta be very fulfilling knowing you managed to get it done though! Hats off to ya!
