If I were buying new I’d buy directly from Weber or a Weber dealer. My local garden center is also a Weber dealer and is where I got my first charcoal grill.

Here's a 26" in Little Elm, just above Dallas for $285.

Thanks. That’s about an 8.5 hour round trip. A bit too far

Keep trolling the online sales forums for a used one. I got mine for $110, but I’ve seen them under $100 brand new because sellers think they’re 22” and price them as such. They pop up often enough that I would recommend you wait.

Got a new 26er but it’s damaged so I have to take it back to Ace.

Dented and out of round lid as well as grate tabs not even resulting in a wobbly cooking grate.

Thanks guys. I guess I’ll be buying a brand new one. I have an old SSP cart I could mount it onto.
I’m in NW Houston btw.

Go ahead and add (NW Houston) in your profile that way when you post it will show where your town is.
Wife said "No more GRILLS in this house!" So I bought a 2nd house!

It would be nice if everyone that joins the Wkc would put there location in. I wish it could be a requirement.

It would make things easier.  It's not like anyone needs to put an address in.  If they wanted to, people could even put in a town or two away from themselves.

Aside from buying one from someone in the WKC community, I think finding a vintage 26" in the wild is like finding Bigfoot.  I've got a 26" that is maybe 2 years old and it works great.  The only thing I don't like is the wobbly legs, which seems to be a common (minor) issue.

Did a little modding to the new 26er....

Added some left over air line that I split over the lid bale to prevent scratching of the lid
Also added some felt gasket to the bracket

Added the gasket to the bowl and got a 19” (biggest I could find) pizza pan to use as a heat diffuser

Next up is adding a probe port (SS cable gland) , WSM charcoal ring, and the igrill bracket.

Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill
