Hello there, I'm Chris from Iowa City. Recently purchased a new 26" kettle (that I'm actually trying to sell) and now got a used Performer (that I'll be keeping). I look forward to learning lots of things as I'm new to charcoal grills.

Welcome from Missouri.  The 26er and the Performer are both fine grills.  I am pretty sure you will get a lot of encouragement to keep them both in a place like this! Haha.
