Genesis platinum, restore or make table?
« on: June 14, 2019, 06:46:33 AM »
So yesterday I went and picked up this gassed with plans of making a rolling table to use while cooking on the kettles. Was thinking about a live edge wood top, or just a piece of stainless where the toolbox and burner controls are, and lea e the side burner, removable side table, and flip up tables.

I had a problem though once I got it home... This thing is in decent shape and it fired right up. It does need the bottom tray or shelf replaced whatever thats called. Its very rusty and I didnt notice until after I already paid. Anyway, should I proceed with the table build, or if this thing is rare or something. I did fire it up and let my buddy cook some steaks and burgers on it, and it seems like a nice grill, but I don't really need a gasser

Easy

It is all in what you need , I have seen folks make then into grill table WSM cart and keek the side burner to start chimneys.  Or restore for a second gasser.
