The Last Canadian Ivory Mastertouch
« on: September 02, 2018, 01:58:50 PM »
This weekend I made a trip up to Vancouver BC and was able to score an Ivory kettle. Matt and Johnstone’s BBQ in Surrey was able to grab me the very last one in Canada.

I had some mods in mind and they came out really good making this ivory color pop with the vintage classiness that it deserves.
Birds eye maple handles, rollers and vent tab from Brandon Harris
Maple Weber Side Kick table from Mike Hines
The wheels are from a vintage Radio Flyer Trike and fit perfectly.
I swapped out for an all silver ash pan and the triangle has been painted to match the Ivory Kettle.

All in All very please with how it turned out!

Thanks! It was a fun build. I think I have to reserve it to only cook A5 Wagyu

Haha yup there were a ton on Craigslist in my area. I ended up ordering them direct from Radio Flyer they were around $8 each. I just wanted them super clean for this project.

Nicely done! Love your attention to detail, and I love those wheels!

Thanks!

Here is where I found the wheels

https://parts.radioflyer.com/rear-wheel-kit-for-model-33-34-34b-34t/

They slide right on and the caps do as well.

Looks sweet!  Where did you get the information about it being the very last ivory in Canada?

When Johnstone’s ordered it from Weber they said it was the last one on the shelf that Weber had. I’m sure there are still more out there floating around at stores.
