New Prices?
« on: January 01, 2018, 12:16:23 PM »
I was looking on Weber’s website today and notices the MSRP prices are higher than I remember. The 22” Original kettle has an MSRP of $109.00 and the Performer Delux has an MSRP of $499.00. Are these new MSRP prices, or has it been this way? If these are new, that’s a pretty big jump for the Performor Delux!

I've noticed retailers such as crate & barrel and a few others use the $499 as an msrp but sells it for $399. Probably just a marketing ploy to make buyers feel as if they are getting a discount.

Just checked and Amazon still had the Copper and Green at $399.  Interestingly enough, I also found this:

Not sure where they're shipping it from . . .

I'm like you I didn't notice the price changes from Weber. Of course I haven't been looking all that hard for a new one.

I noticed prices have gone up as well.  Looks like they used the Red Limited Edition as the intro grill to their new prices.

I looked on Amazon and prices seemed normal compared to the past couple of years.
Looking for colored 18's and SJ's.

At least for the Performer, that is the normal MSRP. Everyone sells it for $400 though. Classic making you think you're getting a discount.
Together we'll fight the long defeat.

Check out the weber website.   Mastertouch is now 219.  Wasn't it always 199?  Premium is also up $10, not including the Red one.

On the Weber site, the MSRP for the Performer Deluxe is $449.00, and that's the same for the Black, Green, or Copper.  There is no Crimson on their site, but I have found it, for $399 on several other sites:

 - True Value

 - Ace

 - Acme

 - BBQGuys

Just to name a few.  I think the Amazon one is just some greedy SOB who is trying to take advantage of some unsuspecting newbie.

Ace even has a Red Kettle at $149 (looks Crimson to me) that is different from their Red Limited Edition for $199.
