Any news, scuttlebut or views on whether the Limited Edition red kettle, currently available on Amazon.com, will be sold in Australia?

I'd say no, not enough demand and they already sell the Crimson
I'm only 2 or 3 kettles away from being that creepy guy down the street with all the Webers

But crimson isn't Limited Edition red. Surely Weber Australia would see the point in celebrating with the rest of the Weber world and getting into the spirit. That said, I take your point about it not being worth their while. I still feel the pain from when Weber Australia marketed a Genesis Gold without key features sold on the US version. I wouldn't want a cheapened version of the LE even at double the normal price. While we are at it, why is the Australian version of the Weber Performer sold without a major key feature ie the gas ignition system?

Because gas approval from AGA costs more than $40k

Will it be an original premium kettle or a master touch?

I'm sure it will be a combination of the 2, same as here. Long legs and bowl of the Mastertouch, but without the char baskets, gourmet grate and half rack

Not only is the Europe RLE a full blown MT, it also comes with the SS GBS grate.  You can be pissed about it... but it costs almost $400 here.
For that much money you would think it comes with a free jar of vaseline... nope, you have to bring your own.

Thanks for the link @Bertl but it’s the Hunt that turns my crank. I’ll wait until they show up 2nd hand and rescue one before I buy it new.
