After a week  of breakfasts like this ~~~>

And haranguing me about the "extra Webers" hanging around the yard...........

..... thought she'd be plum tuckered out ~~~~>NOT !!!


She shows up back from a regular dr. appt. & a trip to the grocery and announces "I'M BBQ'ing TODAY !!!"


Well, OK !!!!


Let me get out of the way.......

"Let me Look....I'll see....."
3 tense minutes pass.....................
"Ok, I'll use the BLUE ONE"

( score one for Weber kettle collector, shhhh, don't say that out loud.....  )

Chicken thighs
thin cut yummy pork chops
cheezy scalloped taters
EBO baked beans
corn on the cob

The new blue, puffin' away....


Lid therm was just under the grate therm, so I think one may be a bit off...but not bad...


Gal knows her chicken, started at 400 & most of the cook was at 350 ~ 375.........









Unfortunately, no wood was used.....she'll have none of it !!!!

Oh yeah......and she demanded Kingsford blue....."I want briquettes, not that tree stuff....."

Whoa!    So lemme get this straight. Mrs Buckie comes home from a doctors appointment, chooses here weapon of choice, fuel of choice and meat of choice. Then goes on to do some fantastic old school bbq?  No slow cooking, none of your sawdust, nope she's not havi'n it! Then brings it home with those fantastic sides? All this after a week of real mens breakfasts and homeade strawberry preserves?

well, Hank the rest of the story is: One of my Smoke Ring buddies suggested i kiss her outstreched hand & tell her she's the "Queen of the Kettle".....so I did that....I did just that !!!

 Thanks, Golly ......she's really not that gentle.....she's threatened me with numerous beatings over the gaggle of kettles out back.....it all just looks really sweet over the InterNet ......
