Cool over spray

I was cleaning up a 18" red head when I saw that the inside is dusted in red over spay all the way up to the cooking grate tabs.
You can see how they set it on a stand resting on the tabs to spray the red glass powder on the out side.

I know... maybe it's stupid but I have never seen it with so much over spray.

The redhead I bought a couple of weeks ago has black overspray on the outside. Normal? I don't know but like you said it looks cool.
