I'm in favor of going in on this as a lottery group buy.
Twelve (12) closest members to this Westerner (Midwest area) getting together to buy it.
We each pitch in $250 for a total of $3,000.
One member is elected treasurer and makes the one winning bid.
Then after outbidding Harris's high rolling buddy, we acquire this nice 26er.
The 12 members can then put their names inside a hat at the 5th Annual Chicago WKC meet and draw the one lucky name that will win this Westerner.
That winner will now payback each member over an extended period of time. Names will continue to be drawn from the hat making the order of members being paid back.
The winner will need to swing $52 each week for 1 year to pay off the Westerner loan.. Interest free.
If $52 each week is an issue, we can agree on a 1.5 year or two year payback reducing the weekly payment.
Just an idea for those that really, really want a Westerner but can't swing the high eBay price for one.
