So I picked this grill up from a co-worker who picked it up from near his house. Don't look at a grill at night. So my question is this, is it worth the resto-mod or should I just cut my loses? I started acquiring parts but this would be a monumentous undertaking. I could resto it, or I could part it out. Don't know the year, so maybe someone here can shine some light.

Looking for: Red MBH 26"(The Aristocrat), Chestnut-coppertone (The Estate), Glen-blue (The Imperial), and The Plainsman.

Do you have legs and triangle. It would be tempting to restore?  I say that because vintage kettles seem so rare in my area.

It doesn't sound like your heart is telling you to restore it so I would pass it on to someone who would want to take on the project.
"Have you hugged your Weber today?"

Kettle collector AND cooker!

It's a red MBH! Leg sockets still (mostly) attached! How is it even a question? Get some evaporust and crush it!

Every kettle has a story. If the sockets are loose, rivet them back into place, new Daisy wheels can be had, not to mention it could make for a great high heat/beater cooker for pizzas.

If you end up parting it out, use the bowl to grow a herb garden.....not THAT kinda herb 8)
drink a little drink, smoke a little smoke    8)
It's not just a grill, it's a WEBER

weldboy

Looks like a 64 to 68. It may not ever be a pristine looker but it would still make a great cooker and it's got a load of character
