What's your plan for the sagging ash catcher ring/bucket assembly?
There are many threads about the weak link in the SSP- the dreaded rusted out bar that holds the ash catcher ring in place.
Just an option for you, you can purchase a brand new ash bucket and ring. Seems pretty simple to clip right in from what I've read.

I was able to set a few hours aside on this beautiful day to bring my new Red SSP back to its former glory. After an entire pack of steel wool, new ash assembly, modified gas assist, old one touch removal (had to get out the power tools) and plenty of elbow grease she is all ready to get cooking! I took some pics of the final product.
