Looks incredible. I'm doing legs tomorrow and will have to try something similar. Do you have to add any oil once they are breaded or do you just bread and grill and they turn out like that?

I tossed in a little oil before seasoning with plowboys, then rolled in the flour and straight to the grill

Hey, looks great @bigmikey.
I see you're running the vortex with this cook. How long do they take with that high heat?
I need to try these, for sure.

Tried this tonight and turned out real good. Inside was perfectly moist and outside crispy. Only difference between these and real fried chicken is the outside is not greasy at all. I seasoned with oil and Tony's then breaded with mix of flour salt pepper. I thought I seasoned well but could have used a little more seasoning. Other than that it's another fantastic use of the kettle I look forward to experimenting. Thanks @bigmikey.

Looks fantastic! Kentucky Kernel is my GO-TO seasoning, been using it for close to two years and it works famously with KFC! I've been frying mine in Peanut oil on the kettle in a deep 12" lodge frying pan and finishing on the cooking grate. Huge hit!
