First success with PizzaQue
« on: September 04, 2016, 04:10:04 PM »
After failing miserably on my first attempt, I tried using the metal peel the first time.  I got a nice bamboo peel and gave it a go again today.  Very happy with how it turned out.  Do,have a questin for those with lots more experience.  What is a good type of corn meal to use?  I grabbed first one I found but it was fine ground and sifted.  Any suggestions?

Use semolina or flour, not corn meal. Just my preference.

Pizza looks great. I use cornmeal and don't have any issues. Try using a little more next time, too much can't hurt from my experience. Most will stay behind on the stone as you pick the pizza up to spin it during the cook.

Looks good to me!  I use flour and cornmeal with more cornmeal than flour.  I know a lot of people use semolina instead.  The key I have found it so give your peel a quick back and forth while its still on a counter to make sure it is loose before you head out the grill and find out the hard way that its stuck.
