I love everything you did except for 2 things!  You need one of Brians handles and onions dont belong on pizza!  LOL! That looks awesome,  so you basically cut the pan in half then riveted it together?  You should do a write up on this. I wouldn't mind trying this myself.

My pizza stone was reaching 600+ degrees via my infrared thermometer.  I wanted to raise it, so I used took the 12 inch terra cotta saucer that serves as a heat diffuser in my mini WSM.  I'm now seeing temps in the high 4's which has been working out well.  I think that there's an added benefit of raising the pizza higher into the hot zone of the lid as well.
