Sage green 2005 performer restoration
« on: July 06, 2016, 02:44:58 AM »
Ok so 2 weekends ago this performer popped up for a great price so I treated myself to an early birthday present. It just so happened it's a pretty unique colour here in oz.

It was in good condition with minor rust around the welds, totally grubby internally and generally neglected. In addition when I got home i noticed the gas assist brackets, all the bowl nuts and bolts, and the ash pan handles extremely rusty

Congrats, love the color.

It's a pretty unique color in the states as well. I've never seen a sage performer (aside from @zavod44's conversion), only sage one-touch platinums.
Wanted: Burgundy 18"

That would look awesome with a new metal table

I spent my weeknights in front of the idiot box scrubbing away mindlessly and cleaning everything up

Man, great job cleaning it up!

If you're going black with the hardware, it might really be worth looking into the metal table upgrade, it'd look really sharp!

Nice job

The black was merely to protect the steel after sandblasting them clean
