Just some wings down the dock
« on: March 30, 2016, 02:52:33 PM »
sat in a ziplock for a couple hours in Paul Prudhumme blackened rub and peanut oil in the fridge.
Then the rest is pretty self explanatory.
Ran the vents wide open the entire time, she settled in at 406 grate temp.
Every bit as good as the ones I made last week with the vortex clone device I have by using the two charcoal baskets pushed together.

My boy, the supposed white-meat chicken fan, said this tonight at dinner, as we were eating some best-evah chicken legs:

"Chicken wings are the best part of the chicken."

Wait wut? Where does this stuff come from?

I ... think we've finally turned him.

The girl immediately declared, "We've turned you to the Dark Side!"

It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch
