Lime time
« on: October 28, 2015, 03:33:04 PM »
I put out a few weeks ago that I was looking for a lime 22 and received a lead that didn't look all that promising at first. Wkc member @Paul Isa told me about a Craigslist ad in Fort Collins Colorado. Spent 20 minutes or so looking for it, no luck, until I searched lime grill. The seller had misspelled weber! I emailed her and told her I'd give her$200 for it if she shipped it. I figured she would think it was a joke, but she got back to me.

We spent the next few days discussing price and gauging each other's trustworthiness. Sending $200 to a complete stranger on the hopes they'll keep their word is not something I've ever done...but she did, and here it is!

I probably overpaid for it but, it is a very cool addition to my lineup. Definitely has some battle scars as well, but overall fairly solid. It is a bit out of round, something I need to work on this week. Thanks for looking and thanks Paul for the lead!

That's a sweet lime! and the out of round should be a quick and easy fix. Congrats weldboy!

Also don't sweat the price - a new black premium kettle is $160 and this is at least 10 times cooler... so based on my math you're coming out well ahead ;) ;D

Excellent grab, congrats!  Great story too, nice to know that things like this, having faith in people, isn't always a mistake.

What Matt said!

It's a great looking grill, and only you can say what it's worth to you.

Seems like your line up has grown a bit, good show!
