Well it was 5 degrees out on Monday evening but I wanted to try out my new Vortex insert I ordered (medium size) for my 22 Weber kettle so I fired up Big Blue and put the Vortex in its place.  I did some stuffed chicken and for the first time did some boneless/skinless chicken.  Have to say I do like the Vortex and since I don't have the tools to make one at least to me it was worth the money and did just like it said.  Very happy with the results and can't wait to try other things using the Vortex.

Here is the Vortex fired up

Chicken all prepped and ready for the kettle

Stuffed chicken

Boneless chicken with steam coming off it.

Plated up stuffed chicken and beans
Platinum Performer Kettle (In Blue), OTG (In Blue)
Genesis Gasser (In Blue), Smokey Joe (Uline Lime)
Looking to buy (18.5 blue or brownie and blue lantern)

Looks real good!  Way to brave the cold.

I did not know the Vortex came in different sizes.  ??? ???
Q: How do you know something is bull$h!t?
A: When you are not allowed to question it.

Talked with Bill and he said the Medium was best for my kettle.  They make a small, medium and large version.  Large is for more like the Weber Ranch Kettle.  The small would fit the 22" but better for the 18" kettle

I'm really on the fence about ordering one. I need someone to push me over the edge.

I'm taking the plunge - will report back after I get it and test it out, and will definitely share some pictures!

If you guys lived close I would let you try my Vortex.  I just did some homemade chicken cordon blue using the Vortex and it turned out awesome.  I have used my Vortex twice and really like it.

I love chicken cordon blue. Not sure how I feel about children cordon blue though. :)

I need to just go ahead and order one and be done with it!
