@zavod44  Brian I just recently got ahold of a few solid limbs of Osage orange and need to know what size blocks to cut it into to send over for 3 handles??? Its newly cut as of 3 weeks ago.

Not trying to speak for @zavod44 here, but IIRC, 1" tall X 1.125" wide X 6.25" long was the minimum for one handle?  I could have sworn that Brian specified the size in another post or PM that of course, I can't find at the moment.

I've got some osage orange limbs as well. Those should make some beautiful handles...

Santo your close, it actually needs to be 12" x 1"x 1.25"  that's the minimum for one handle.  If you need three, then 12"x 1" x let's say 4".....so twelve inches long by one inch thick by 4 inches wide.....that will make three.  We don't want to cut it so close to the bone there isn't enough

The Blue MBH has a walnut handle, with clear penetrating stain and finished with "satin" spar urethane.

The Red MBH has a birds eye maple handle, with clear penetrating stain and finished with "satin" spar urethane.

Beautiful handles and kettles. Love that blue shade.

It is just stupid that I don't really care what color paint the wife wants on the walls of our home, yet I really admire kettle colors. A lot.
