I believe there is a big air force presence in colorado springs. Maybe it was purchased in Europe while someone was stationed overseas, and then brought back. That kinda stuff happens all the time.

well it made it to my place and the box look too beat up.

no the box was fine.  finally home and 13.5 hours of sleep later i opened her up.

here is the lid sitting on the fire pit/22 ratt \m/ for a color reference. 

it's rainy today so she isn't gleaming in the sun but i do think this is a good reference as to the color. 





it's very much a blue/grey kinda look, sort of battleship blue maybe?  i'm not sure if i even like it to be honest.

i'm going to keep it boxed for the winter and plop it in storage so no assembled shots, sorry! 

i have my winter cook arsenal poised for any kills that arrive before spring. 

and by kills i mean meat purchased from the butcher etc.

Very nice, almost a steel blue. The finish looks satin similar to a crimson... I dig it! Plus its not like your going to look in the neighbours backyard and see another any time soon

it's def cool.  i should be able to get a gloss on it with just some efforts.

Bah, I don't think he's going to like it.  Instead of taking up the storage space, he should just list it in the For Sale section
