KFC Sunday

All these KFC cooks look so good. Picked up a chicken and some natural buttermilk. Soaked overnight. I mixed up some corn meal, flour, and a spattering of spices.
Since the corn meal was already out....
My grill is a bit too hot and the coating is flaking a bit.

You win some you lose some. I lost this one. Thought I had enough seasoning but it was bland. Even though I let te chicken sit both before and after coating, it still didn't adhere well. The corn bread burned on the bottom.
Oh well.

That's the way it goes. It's a hit and miss for me too.

My thought is, if you can eat it, it was not a loss per say but more of it could of been better! Question on the corn bread, did you heat the CI first and did you cook indirect?
