Apple Bread
« on: May 17, 2014, 12:03:14 PM »
My In-Laws are in town, which gives me a chance to make a bunch of food. Some Apple Bread for snacking on.

I hear that some people actually cook meat on their grills......might have to give that a try some day. ;D
If it needs to be Heated to be Eated, I can do it on my Weber!

Ooooo.....I'd like to try that. I'll bet its good when warmed up and drenched in milk, maybe a little sugar sprinkled on top.  Was there any specific recipe you used, or just a basic recipe with apples added?

I used a recipe.

3 Cups Flour
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
3 eggs
2 cups Sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
1 tablespoon Vanilla
2 cups Apples chopped ( about 2 medium sized apples but I use 3)
1/2 cup walnuts chopped

Mix all dry ingredients first then ad eggs , oil, vanilla and apples. The mix will not be like cake batter...it will be more like a sticky dough. Place in greased pan and bake at 350 degrees until a toothpick or knife comes out clean in the center.

If it needs to be Heated to be Eated, I can do it on my Weber!
