Hi, I'm Jon and I live in Norway. Been into old Webers since I bought a house, needed a grill and started googling.

Used market in Norway is limited, but I have restored and use a Genesis 2000 redhead, a Genesis 5000 and a Genesis 4000 blue.

I also like to pick up 1000-series, restore them and gift them to friends and family.

Recently I've gotten into kettles, and picked up a gen 3 Performer. It's a bit black and not in the best shape, so I've been looking for something colorful to do a swap. Found this very pretty copper master-touch from 2008 with the old-style thermometer. It's an oddball, and I'm wondering if it is some kind of special edition?

Hi ! Welcome ! I'm not sure what colors they offered at that time. In my opinion any of those kettles are sorta kinda rare in that style. To get that lid you had to buy an SSP or one of these. I wish I had one but I think it's one of my favorite styles of kettle. C'mon man it has it all. Lid bail, ash bucket, lid thermometer, and !!!! You can stick it in your meat !!!

Welcome to the site Jon, and that's a sweet copper Master Touch you have!

Not a special edition as far as I know but that generation of MT in copper were only sold in the Euro market as far as I am aware. They also made spring green and ivory's at some point but you rarely see any of them.

Hello, welcome from the Netherlands. I think the copper you have was only sold in Scandinavia. Never seen one for sale in the rest of Europe. Beautiful kettle! Keep it original!
