26” Pickup
« on: February 18, 2023, 02:50:45 PM »
Picked up a CB 26” today for cheap.  Probably would have passed it up due to the Carolina  Squat these have but it was in great shape and came with a Slow n Sear XL and of course the SS factory grate.  Cleaned it up today and cut an inch off the front leg to help level it out.  Might use it a little and sell or give it to a friend - we’ll see.  It’s still fun to pounce on a rare deal.

Great score, especially with the SnS! Good old 26r is just too useful to pass up :D

Great score Greg!
If you’re selling the 26er, I’ll buy it.

Cheers

Nice score!  A modern 26’er equipped with an SNSXL is my go-to cooker even though I have many other vintage grills.

Thanks guys, did a test run with it yesterday (no food) just filled the SNS XL with B&B, put my DNG in from the Glen Blue and put a tumbleweed in the center of the SNS.  Lit it and adjusted the vents down about an hour in.  Held 275F for about 12 hours and then tapered off..... was still hot this morning when I got up.  It'll be a nice cooker for sure.
