Yeah, the price is high, but it’s a Weber (sorry, couldn’t resist)
I’ve had several Q’s and they’ve been great. I knew this would be too.
I’m still very happy with it. It’s a great cooker. Will it replace my copper E330? Probably not, but that’s because I have a modified GBS system in it (for a CI wok) and I can limit the burners used because of the N/S burner configuration. I also have a Bakerstone box in it so it’s acting as my little oven.
Indirect is not an option. Just as it wasn’t really with the different Genesis grills I’ve owned. The E/W burner configuration doesn’t necessarily lend itself to indirect cooking, although you can turn off individual burners on the Genesis.
And using the Q’s, it always felt like wasted space when I wasn’t using the entire grill.
It’s become my go to gasser when grilling for my wife and I.
Just need to get more creative on taking up the entire space when cooking a meal.
It also seems to keep the heat well when turned down, while referencing the highly accurate lid thermometer 🤪
I should try to monitor grate heat on one of the next cooks.
