All the talk of charcoal shortage had me wanting to use some of the wood chunks I've had seasoning in the garage for two years. I processed this wood from trees cut down in my area. I'll pour it over the used coals. Just lit it up using my homemade paper towel bacon grease starters so nothing store bought for the fire tonight. I'll be updating as I go along.

The wood chunks worked really well and really didn't take much longer to get cooking.

I marinated in a balsamic vinaigrette and hit it with an ap seasoning. Served with fried radishes and onion and corn.

fried radishes?

My wife found the idea somewhere. A low carb alternative to fries potatoes. They are actually really good. Not potatoes but decent.

Thanks. It was fun for a Monday.

Also I was wrong in the title. I think most of this wood was mulberry. I have a few different woods in the garage that I get mixed up. Mulberry is great on pork if you haven't tried it.
