Hello, I just bought a weber from an older couple at a yard sale. When I saw the grill I knew I wanted to buy it. I told the woman," I have never seen a grill this color."
She told me they had purchased the grill 40 years ago...
My question is...Is the grill really this old?
Is this a common color for webers from 40 years ago?

Welcome from Doraville,Ga. and a nice grill that definitely can be 40 years old !
Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

There should be some letters stamped on the top lids vent.
You can then use the age chart below to figure it out. Nice looking kettle. There's also a guy on this site that makes really nice wood replacement handles that would look great on it (he just posted about it yesterday).

Two rivet handle with small tab lid vent and a straight lipped ash pan. Yep it could be that old. Maybe older. Post a picture of the lower vents and the wheels.
And welcome to the Wkc

Well, it doesn't seem to have any of those letters on the upper vent...
And the white walls have come off the wheels.

Plastic rims with rubber tread or all plastic maybe?
More pictures would help identify what you have.

I think the wheels are all plastic. They feel too stiff to be rubber.

So from what the age guide on the front page says its 75 through 77?

I'll call it a '77 based on the wheels and vents.......And welcome to the group!
