Hello everyone.  I just joined the WKC a couple of weeks ago and have been looking around in the forums since.  This is an awesome resource.  I just got my first kettle for my birthday in February.  I had an old gas grill that was about to fall apart and I had mentioned to my wife that I'd like to get into charcoal grilling on a Weber someday.  Well...birthday rolls around and she surprises me with a 22" Master Touch.  I'll admit at first I was a little overwhelmed.  I probably would have gotten a basic 18" if I bought it myself.  But she picked this one out and said she thought I would like it because it had the nice lid holder, a bigger surface area, and it's taller.  Boy was she right!  It's been a great spring and summer, and we've grilled almost every weekend.  I think I've grilled more for us this summer than in our first 3 years of marriage combined!  These forums have already given me a lot of great tips and ideas.  I'm looking forward to learning more...and of course...grilling more!

PICS:  first time I rolled her out on the driveway to cook,  first meal of steak and brats, and our favorite meal of steak and a big basket of grilled veggies!

Welcome from the San Francisco Bay Area.  With Thanksgiving quickly approaching, consider cooking the turkey on your Weber.  Whole, spatchcocked or on the rotisserie the smokey flavor is amazing.  Here's a thread with some of the methods.

Lets just say I have acquired a few Kettles.  Big and small.   Vintage and New...  Some say I have a problem.  I find the Kettle, buy the Kettle, USE the Kettle...No problem...
