Remove paint from inside grill

Any tips on removing high heat paint from inside firebox and lid of a Genesis?

Ugh, why would someone do that. Maybe get it really really hot then try a stainless steel brush. Maybe find a paint stripper that wouldn't harm the metal?

Why is it an issue? If it's high heat paint just let it go and do it's thing.

Media blasting would be the quickest and easiest way.

Are you sure that it's paint ?     Anyways, as DTH said, media blasting is quickest and easiest.   Or, a 4 (4.5) inch angle grinder will make quick work of it.


Darko, it's an issue because even high heat paint will give off fumes when the grill is fired up.    You really don't want that while grilling.
