Rotisserie Turkey Breast on the ‘97 Genesis
« on: November 12, 2023, 11:56:36 AM »
Continuing my poultry rotisserie experiments on the old Genesis and oh my, I do believe I’ve struck gold this time.  Kellee bought this butterball turkey breast on Friday for me to play with.  I know these have a bit of inherent brine, but that didn’t stop me from rinsing it well and injecting with a mixture of butter, poultry seasoning, sage and Blues Hog seasoning.  I also basted the breast during the cook.  So moist, so flavorful and all I can describe it as would be turkey candy.  This will provide lunches through the week.  MEATER+ did a great job as always for this rotisserie cook.

Thanks Robert, this was my second attempt at turkey breast.... First one was a disaster about 3 years ago, went low and slow on the WSM and it tasted like a lunch sack full of coal dust.  I learned my lesson about poultry and smoke with low temps which is NOT the way to go.  This one was MUCH better!
