Charcoal Requirements - Weber 26 Inch Kettle

I usually just fill the SNS with charcoal (switched to Jealous Devil lump) and light a tumbleweed on one side, leaving the vents open until approaching my target temps.  When it gets close I dial back the lower vent and the top vent stays open.  Has worked for me very well, temps monitored with a Thermoworks Signals thermometer.  Last cook was over 6 hours and the initial charcoal load lasted the entire cook.  Here's a few pics and details of the cook:
