Just a quick 30 minutes project.   Converted one of the bowl into wok /chimney starter with a  modified 60,000 btu Bayou Classic high pressure burner.
No modifications to the bowl required. Gas supply hose lined up perfectly with the gas assist hole. Sweeps are fully functional and everything can be converted back to a regular grill in less than 10 minutes.

Heat concentrator.  It funnels the flame toward the center for use with small pots, pans, woks, chimney starter etc.

Jules I have to ask, did you make that heat concentrator ?  What a great idea, wouldn't mind making one of those if I could source the material.

Great job on the wok conversion!

Just leftover material from a previous chimney and charcoal ring project. It's a  10 gauge perforated 304 stainless. Very easy to cut and bend.  Holes are already there so no drilling required. Just bolt it together using a 2-way reversible lock nut.

@Jules V. Man, you make the coolest stuff - your mods/inventions are better than most manufactured things that are out there for sale. Thanks for sharing and inspiring us to get creative!
Wife: Let me guess... you want to grill again

Thanks but highly doubt any of these mods are my inventions. Just an interpretation of existing products/items using different or more durable materials.  My main goals are function/durability and rarely preoccupied with form.
As long as you have the desire, these mods are  very easy to execute using your basic everyday household tools.  All it takes are angle/die grinder, drill/driver, hammer, wrench and a screwdriver.  Only items that required a special tool ( sheetmetal brake) were the stainless bottom shelf which i was able to borrow from a friend.
Majority of the work are done while I'm outside cooking/grilling.

You could do an entire second calendar, just with @Jules V. mods.

Another innovative creation from @Jules V.  Now it's time to take a "wok on the wild side" (Lou Reed)!
