dial thermometer hole size in 22" Master Touch?

Sorry, too lazy to dismantle & measure, anyone know the shaft diameter?
I think I've found a re-calibratable one but the shaft dia. sounds off @ 1/2" & I can't find the info online.
I've written the seller asking to confirm the ability to re-calibrate via the small offset screw on the back.
