Thats the original finish it was painted from Weber. I looked real close at it and I'd have to say its semi-gloss. It definitely is more shiney than a satin.

I prefer the brands with a Fan spray tip. I find it comes out more evenly. I think most spray paint would be ok on the frame, but you can try high heat or outdoor paint if you prefer.
