Just got back from two week bike trip.  The 1st week was up in Maggie Valley, NC riding all the backroads in the Smokies and Blue Ridge.

Then on to another week, this time at St. Simon's in Georgia with my daughters and their families.  My night to cook, I picked up 4 very nicely marbled, 2" thick Porterhouses on sale for $9.99/lb.

The steaks came out a perfect medium rare along with roasted tater wedges and fresh green beans with fresh roasted red peppers (sorry, no more pics).

Anyway, after over 2,500 miles on the two-wheels, I'm happy to be back at the Coach and looking forward to cooking something on the Weber later this week.

Awesome and great pictures!  I can imagine the scenery was wonderful and being back is equally rewarding...

Sounds like an awesome trip.  Good food and family.  Did you do the Tail of the Dragon while up in NC?

Those steaks look amazing and an awesome price! I hoped you picked up more to take home. :)

Maggie valley and the surrounding areas have awesome roads. Our Miata has torn through many.
Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

Thanks all ! ! !

I've ridden the Tail about a half dozen times.  The one that was most fun was after a rockslide way up be the end in TN closed the 129 to thru traffic.  All you had bikers, and yes the Miata group ;{), running back and forth.

A bunch of us Indian riders (primarily) have been meeting up there for almost a decade now.  I can't remember the names of all of the routes I've ridden.  There's the Moonshiner, the Rattler, the Cherohalla, the Diamondback, the list goes on and on.

It is great to travel, especially on the two-wheels, and always fun to see the kids and grandkids.  But it's fun to get back into that comfortable routine . . .
