Title: Copper Mist (brown) & Chestnut Coppertone (pink) Appreciation Society.

Light it up with the two tone chocolate browns of the Copper Mist kettles of the 1970s and 1980s along with the two tone western sunset pinks of the old Chestnut Coppertone cookers of the 1950s and 1960s.

Sax and Duke, it was a full funtional gasser. Not sure they made it to OZ. RR has it and has done extensive research on it. It was a preformer, that was put up against there first black box gassers. It lost. Not sure how many are out there. It went to a person that has collected longer than me, hopefully will be part of the museum he is trying to establish. The last communication we had, it was just a memory of old employee that remembered it, know drawings can be found...

Thanks CS, I'm sure I will never see a Red or Blue, only Trifecta I will have. But, I have know problem with that.
If the New Red shows up, I could have two Trifecta's... ;)

Yes I was, white shirt and grey pants this time. Next time I'm going to color code to the kettle you guys always think I wear nothing lol. I'm in the country out in tn but I would get shot outside without a shirt on. They would be trying to take down an extremely pale skinned blob that I am!

Thanks craig! I think it's mid 70's too from my research on it. Since its not lettered and has a pat number the only guess is 70-78 on it. The two tone does ride up the lid a bit higher than some I've seen. I'm very happy with it, I may have to fire it up today for dinner!

That looks like a BBK vent. Small tab top and large tab bottom. Just like the black I picked up. In that case, I think we are looking at 75/76. My gut feeling is the BBK vent continued after they started using the weber vent (still used in Europe), but I have nothing to back that up. Interesting to see the new wheels on there. That kettle is sharp!

This is the brownie that Danny C tracked down for me.  Come closer...

I cleaned the lid and bowl.  They are spotless now.  Both wheels have some problems, and the chrome on the triangle is coming off everywhere, revealing rust underneath.  But I wanted to get this guy put back together, so I reshaped the wheels, and sanded, steel wooled, and polished the triangle.  i sanded and polished the legs and put them back on.  Frankly, it looks pretty nice, and since i like keeping things original, I dont mind the "patina".  But I will probably replace the legs and triangle if I find better condition original wheels.

The handle is nice, and not really loose.  For now I am keeping it but I do forsee a Zavandle in the future.

Call me a fool...I have know problem with that. Could be an optical illusion, but it looks like different bowl and lid shapes on this quad brown set up.

Swapped the Warrior's blonde/natural handle (pictured in the beginning of the thread) with the dark walnut handle I had on my Texan 22.. I prefer this handle-color combination much more so..

Your backyard looks like mine, with all the grills! I notice in the picture what looks like an old black grill up by the fence. looks like it has a name in red on the front. Could you tell me what brand it is, and would you be interested in selling? Hope  you enjoy your new grill. I have never seen that color! Very attractive!

$25 Copper Mist score at an estate sale earlier this year. Original owner put it together caddywhompus and used it that way for 40 years.

Found an 86 H code not too long ago but it was missing all the handles. Guessing the hole in the top of the lid is for a thermometer but not sure.

Emailed Weber and copied this thread. Told them I thought these were some of the best looking kettles ever produced, and that it was a real heart breaker there would never be any more. Just thought I would tell them what I thought, for all the good it will do. They probably cant even make a two tone any more.

@Bob BQ The 18 and the 22 are both '77s.  The 26er is a Pat. Pending so '69-70. I'm pretty excited to have just added the 18 and completed the set :)

Another free Craigslist find. Picked it up to save it from the dump.  The handle was missing so it was a fun project to fabricate another handle. Added some hors d'oeuvre fork handles to the air vents, replaced the ash catcher, and gave it to my neighbor since he didn't have a grill at his new cabin.

I really dig that side table someone made with the hinged legs.  Maybe @bear would kindly reveal how it is attached.  I thought about trying to use one or two of the cheap tool holders that clip over the side.

@bear How does it attach to the kettle?  I made a larger workshop table in the garage that has folding legs.  It is great for working on things without hauling them into the basement workshop.  If you google the subject, you'll see a boatload of variations of folding workshop tables that are pretty cool.

Here is my warrior cleaned up. Wouldn't mind finding a clean bowl since this one is missing a handle. And now has large tab daisy wheels. I polished the ash pan and legs, Painted white walls. Replaced triangle, handle and grate/
