This weekend is the traditional start of BBQ season. Not for WKC members of course, you guys/gals cookout year round. But this holiday weekend the rest of country takes some time to be with family and friends and remembers those who lost their life defending our freedom.
In the spirit of that tradition I'm courious what folks are planning to grill/smoke on Memorial Day.

Hey Reilly, I'm making 20lbs of butt and 3 rack of ribs. I'm cheating though and starting the butts on Sunday. :) God bless those that served our country.
Pizza. A lot of pizza. Got forty people coming over for our Memorial day pizza party.(http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/05/26/enu7e6yj.jpg)
Going to make Sonoran/ bacon wrapped hot dogs tonight for the first time. Not really sure about tomorrow yet.

I smoked a turkey yesterday, and will bring it to a BIL's house today. Not traditional, but we had a turkey so I figured what the heck. I used the Weber Smoke cookbook recipe with Apple wood chunks on the Performer. Pics once I get back to Chicago in a couple days. It was a rather large bird, and it took 5 hours, but it turned out great.
That's awesome, all this food is making me hungery. Congrats to the graduates also.
I saw this in the Sunday paper.
