Title: Today ...
Post by: G$ on August 01, 2012, 06:38:55 PM
... was buffalo wings, steak fries, and the usual carrots/celery.

Brown ale while the kettle quickly came up to temp.  I cooked em hot: 450 according to the handle thermometer.

I used cheap flash frozen wings, and they swore you could cook them from frozen.   So I seasoned them up with some season salt, and threw them on indirect.  Here they are half way through, at which point I added the potato wedges.

While they cooked I mixed up some texas pete, butter, and a few secret herbs and spices.
with 15 minutes to go, I tossed them in the buffalo sauce for about 5 minutes and the potatoes continued to cook:

Wings back on the grill:

Dammit, no more pictures of the plating again.  I just can't take pictures when the food's ready.    These things were just your garden variety buffalo wings, but they were excellent

Umm....am I the only one who saw Po Ta Toes on the plate?  Or is that strictly a starch?

I have used the frozen ones before too and they come out pretty good.  Better than the oven for sure.
