Damn !   I see the light (s) :-)

Are you missing almost all of the glass ?
I hope you have the glass in safe storage.

That's actually very neat. I have an old railroaders lantern my grandfather gave me . Nothing special, but cool nonetheless.

Yes one transaction, cheaper than buying several new ones

Wow that is a nice collection you have!

I have two coleman lanterns right now, a 288 which I bought new almost 20 years ago and a 1929 'slant' lantern which I picked up off ebay. I'd like to add a 228 with the wide top and maybe a red. I enjoy camping and it's great to light them up and hear that hiss they make. The other coleman item I have is a 2 burner stove I use when camping (bought the same time as my 288 lantern)

I'm taking my 4 year old to a "Lantern Walk" in a few weeks... looking forward to lighting up the lantern!

I also have a small collection of kerosene lamps/lanterns that I collected as a teenager.

The next time my wife questions the number of grills sprouting on the porch I'm showing her your truck's tailgate.

My wife is not very happy

Though the lanterns were extremely well bought I'll have another 250$+ tied up in globes. Though I found globes for 6$ each shipping is another 35$ when you buy 12.

Some will be displayed in the fireplace but I'm unsure of what to do with the balance. Another 15 globes will make her angrier!

If they're relatively affordable, sell me one or two. Although I have no idea what kind of light they put out.

Wow!  That's quite a pile!  No worries about power outages.  I'm guessing some will also need new generators and/or plungers.

I've been keeping an eye out for an older 200A but haven't had any luck locally.  Last night I stumbled on a 202 with a green top and polished base.  I was lucky enough to grab it along with a single burner stove today.  The lantern is dated 1/61 and the stove is a 74. Looking forward to playing around with both.

Nice finds! Cool lamp, and I know you will love that 502 stove as much as I do. Here is a photo of mine that I found here in The Netherlands.
Clean them up and get them burning and post some photos

Those old Coleman  lanterns and stoves remind me of our family camping trips in the 60's and 70's

Here's my little collection I've recently started. 3 from the mid 70's, an '83 and a '90. Also, a 228 from 1966 that I got last week for $5

I like that 275 in the middle (the brown one).
I've got one just like but not in that nice a shape.

I think I have a total of 5.
Right now I'm working on our families original 200A.
I think I may have to replace the whole valve assembly.
Fortunately they are not to bad to find.

The seller told me the 275 was only used once. His dad bought it for him when he was in the scouts but the scouts said they only allowed propane lanterns.
Got it for $15, came with the box and old metal funnel.

Wow......I was wondering how many weber guys might also be into coleman stuff.  We did the first family camping trip this summer (and are going on our third trip columbus day weekend).  So I was perusing craigslist for some of the gear I'd need.  What I found was a nice older three burner coleman and a couple of older coleman lanterns and can definitely see how collecting these could be as fun as collecting kettles...but easier to store!

I'll have to snap some pics of what I've got.  I also just built boxes for my lanterns to make transporting easier.

A three burner is quite a find.
There is an adapter that will let you use
the green propane cans and with the
proper hose, hook to a 20# tank.

https://amzn.to/2zlrsRK

I've got 2 and really like them.

Pretty sure the guy I got mine from has quite a few three burners.  Told me he bought a storage container full of coleman stuff.  I think mine dates to 1996 or somewhere around there.

I never thought about trying to use it with propane......I kind of like using the white gas so far even if its not all that simple.  Something about the process makes it more interesting I guess.  But its cool to know I could swap if  needed.  Looks like that essentially replaces the gas tank and then the propane can would stick straight out off of that?...seems cumbersome as opposed to having a right angle in there so the can would tuck in against the stove?

I have found that site already lol!

Below is the three burner, my coleman 288, a bernz o matic propane lantern and the custom travel boxes I made for the lanterns; and my most recent craigslist score...a Coleman Catalytic Heater from 1967 that the seller gave me for free.

Love the cases.

The tank does sit at a right angle.
At the edge of a table it hangs straight down.

Understood.  So the day after I first read this thread an ad popped up on CL for a lot of vintage coleman stuff.  From the photo there were at least 10 lanters, 3 stoves and lots of other stuff.  Some looked quite old, some within the past 10-20 years.  I threw out a low ball offer of $50 and told the seller it was tough to see exactly what they had.  Never expected a positive response, but low and behold seller comes back with "ok".  Then I never hear back despite daily emails (no phone number listed on the ad unfortunately).  Tried one last time today and the seller simply says "lot sold".  I'm freaking furious!  Who agrees to an offer and then ghosts while agreeing to another offer......I would've paid a bit more had he tired to counter!  oh well.

Avon used to make this, it's filled with cologne. It's about 5" tall.
