Title: Weber Seasonings/Rubs
Post by: Geezer on October 02, 2016, 07:34:29 AM
I know that we're all Weber fans here.  The name of the forum gives it away.  LOL  How many use the Weber brand seasonings and/or spices for their grilling and smoking?  I have always just made my own by using salt, pepper, paprika, lemon pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, whatever I have available and whatever I feel like mixing up at the time.
I see the Weber stuff and it's not very expensive but I've never tried any of them.  I did get a bottle of the Tatonka Dust when I bought my Vortex and I have used it on some wings.  It's pretty good but it's kinda expensive, in my opinion.  I was just wondering what other people have to say about the Weber seasonings.

I picked up some steak seasoning and it's really good. That's the only spice I've used from weber. I've used a few sauces that are very good too.

I really love the KC BBQ Rub on pork. The Chicago Steak seasoning is wonderful on beef such as steaks and hamburgers. I also enjoy using the Weber Korean BBQ seasoning for Kalbi steak and stir frying. The Weber Kickin' Chicken is pretty good on rotisserie chicken.

Out of the ones I have tried, Roasted Garlic & Herb, Beer Can Chicken and Gourmet Burger are in my current rotation and would highly recommend them. 8)

I love the Weber Honey Garlic rub and use it exclusively on the chicken wings I make using the Vortex. The KC BBQ rub is also awesome and that is my go-to rub for pulled pork. Both easily available at Sams Club for a fraction of the price that other retailers ask for.

I forgot to mention the Honey Garlic Rub. Excellent on wings! I agree!

i think weber seasonings and sauces are pretty darn good. I usually make my own, but in a pinch I use store-bought. I was surprised by how much I like the bbq sauces, as well as the gourmet burger and roasted garlic/herb seasonings.

I also use the seafood rub on shrimp from time to time.

I like using the gourmet burger, kik'n chicken(I think it is weber), chicago steak, and mesquite.  I got them all from costco.  Huge containers for a buck or 2 more than the little ones in the grocery stores.

I like the Weber honey/garlic rub on chicken and pork.  I tried their spicy coffee rub and did not like.  I would like to try the Weber Chicago Steak but can't find.  I use Chicago Steak seasoning from Penzey's Spices.  Very good but very pricy too!

The entire Weber line (range) of spices and sauces is of excellent quality.
My fave is Chicago Steak.
I thought that Montreal Steak was good until I tried Weber Steak.

Weber Steak > Montreal Steak

Book it.
