I enjoyed cooking on the new Vortex this weekend. Many thanks to
@THUNDERDOME for introducing me to it.
Here is the last cook on it for a while. Looking forward to wings next ...
Mystery Pork Roast Cut from the supermarket, seasoned in Italian style. It was sort of like a pork tri-tip; muscles ran two directions. Over cooked, but delicious. Did potatoes again, this time with herbs and mozzarella at the end. Salad courtesy of my better half was the perfect complement.

I'll take a plate of that! Yum!
All these Vortex cooks! They're fantastic! Where'd you get those small tin plates?
These little pie tins are just that: small, really sturdy, commercial quality pie tins. There is a local sandwich shop/bakery which now sells pies, quiches, pot pies, etc out of the back of the store. They are stout enough for many many re-uses. And as you can see they will ring the vortex perfectly.
If I could find where to buy them I would. As it is now I have 10 or 12.
Okay, okay, I get it!
Gotta have one, gotta have one...
"Honey, can I have a Vortex please??"
Nice! My best vortex wings turned out when there was a little oil on the outside of the skin and the vortex was screaming hot, my dome therm pegged to the max - good luck, and thanks for sharing all these cool ideas!
You're on a roll G$!
