Did a post get deleted or something? I looked thru the last few pages and I don't see any airplane.

This is one of the many razors I shave with. I have 5 DE safety razors and a straight razor. This one is really special because I am the 4th generation Crowley to shave with it. My great-grandfather shaved with it, and he passed it down to my grandpa. My dad learned to shave on it. 2 years ago it was sitting, all green and neglected in my Grammas medicine cabinet since grandpa passed in 2003. I took it and cleaned it up and use it on special occasions. It's a 1929 Bostonian. Always use Dorco 301 blades or Personnas in it, nothing else.

Cool story. I bought a Super Sport (i.e. Gillette ...) made in the year of my birth, which I normally use except when traveling. Tried a few DE blades; I think my "beard" is considered "rough" and that's made blade selection curious ... disposables are great/better in some ways but I prefer DE when I can.

Maybe when I grow up I'll switch to a straight razor. Ah, too many hobbies ...

It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

Jon

I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggone it, people like me.

Metal Mike

Not a weber...

This is still the first chimney I ever bought tho I've acquired & used others this one won't quit...
(red=repairs) Melted & Replaced/screwed almost every rivet now & taped the splitting handle again & again.

I like how it rests inside the 1$ 8x8 STEEL pan (ash catcher) where I would have to bend my weber to fit
it seems that occasionally emptying the drip pan onto the starting coals has "oiled & seasoned" the metal well
& its a good show...
